Friends, Film & a Giant Pencil In-Person
The Friends and Foundation of the Northfield Public Library are very pleased to welcome local sculptor
Curtis Ingvoldstad as our guest at the Friends' Annual Meeting where we are delighted to screen "A Short Documentary About a Giant Pencil". Fellow artist and Friends' member Stephen Mohring will lead a conversation after the film.
Shaping up to be one of this year’s premier art events in Northfield, the Friends' Annual Meeting is filling up fast. Featuring both sculpture and film, learn about Curtis Ingvoldstad’s journey to become one of Minnesota’s most relevant artists. A Short Documentary About a Giant Pencil recently qualified for an Oscar after winning the Santa Barbara Film Festival for Best Short Documentary. The pencil sharpening festival near Lake of the Isle draws thousands of people every year. Come celebrate and discover both Curtis Ingvoldstad and the Friends and Foundation of the Northfield Public Library.
Because space is limited, tickets (free) are available at the Northfield Public Libraries front circulation desk (limit ca. 2 per person). Get your tickets while supplies last.
