The International Cello Institute (ICI, founded in 2010) is an educational program for cellists (ages 15 to 27) that meets every year for 3 weeks every summer on the campus of St Olaf College. ICI's Summer Program is a uniquely personalized and comprehensive summer program dedicated to the cultivation of the complete cellist. Our students work with the world’s most acclaimed pedagogues and soloists from globally recognized musical and educational institutions.

ICI presents outreach and community events around the city of Northfield, as well as concerts on the campus of St. Olaf College, in Urness Recital Hall. During our community concerts around town, cellists perform chamber music for different ensembles, including duos, quartets, sextets, and larger groups. We pride ourselves on offering recitals that benefit everyone involved, from the students who get to practice their performance skills to the audiences who get to listen to beautiful works of music.
